Riess the world of enamel

Our family has been producing cookware in Ybbsitz in Lower Austria’s Mostviertel since 1550 – in the ninth generation.

Why do we love what we do?

We have been doing what we do for a very long time. With the experience passed on from generation to generation.

What makes our product unique?

Our enamelware is on the cutting edge without harmful substances such as PTFE or PFA, energy efficient, tasteless and CO2 neutral. We generate all our energy ourselves in our hydropower plants in Lower Austria.

Are our products of high quality?

Crockery made from natural raw materials, climate-neutral manufactured in a family business that is firmly rooted in the region – that’s what we stand for!

Our items are made of iron, which are fused with silicate glass (enamel) at 850°C.

The burning process creates the wonderfully bright colours of enamel as well as the hard, non-porous and scratch and cut-resistant surface.

Each enamel product is handmade in the enamel factory, with all the typical hallmarks of handwork. We produce CO2-neutral by green electricity from our own hydroelectric power plants.
